Do I need prior coffee experience?

Not at all. Foundation courses are designed for complete beginners —curious home brewers, aspiring baristas, and enthusiasts who simply want to understand coffee better

Is the SCA certificate globally recognised?

Yes. SCA certifications are respected in cafes, roasteries, training centres across Europe, Australia, the US, and beyond. It's a meaningful, internationally portable credential.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

No. All professional brewing equipment, tools, materials — coffee, filters,
kettles, scales — are provided. Just bring a notebook, a pen, and your
curiosity.

What if I don't pass the assessment?

In the rare case you don't pass, you can retake the exam. We are committed to helping every student earn their certification.

How long is the certification valid?

SCA certificates do not expire. Once you complete and pass a module, your certification remains valid for life on your SCA learner portal.
